Book & Lyrics by Stan Gill / Music by Cindy Bright

H ansel & Gretel are brother and sister, and the best of friends. They live on the outskirts of the forest with their father, Otto — a poor woodcutter — and his selfish wife. One day she convinces Otto that they all would be better off without the children... So Hansel & Gretel are taken out into the forest and left for someone else to find and care for. After spending a restless night, they awake to find a house made of gingerbread, inhabited by a Witch. She locks Hansel in a cage, and makes Gretel do her bidding. After a time, Gretel sees her opportunity to save her brother, and pushes the Witch into her own great oven. Meanwhile, Otto has been searching for the children, and the three are reunited.
